Speech Language Pathologist Position
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) experience to join our team at Empower AAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide AAC therapy services in schools to individuals with diverse communication needs
- Collaborate with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive support
- Support clients in finding their voice through AAC, using the most appropriate technology and strategies
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers in using AAC systems at home and in the community
Requirements:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in New Jersey, CCC required
- Experience with AAC and a strong understanding of its role in communication
- Neurodiversity-affirming mindset and a commitment to inclusive, client-centered care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Patient passion for empowering clients to communicate and thrive
