Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing essential support and implementing behavior intervention plans. Your focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective behavioral strategies and compassionate care.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate individual needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Collect and analyze data on client behavior to track progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient care that promotes dignity, respect, and independence for individuals with disabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage with clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and social interaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding treatment goals and progress.
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ability to collect and analyze data effectively to inform treatment decisions.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating patience and empathy towards clients.
- Being a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
