The Supported Employment position is designed to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving and maintaining meaningful employment. This role focuses on empowering clients through education, mentoring, and support tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities

• Educate clients about job opportunities and the skills required for various employment roles.
• Provide mentoring and support to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the job search process.
• Conduct interviews with clients to assess their skills, interests, and job readiness.
• Stay informed about employment labor laws to ensure compliance and advocate for client rights.
• Develop and implement training programs that enhance client employability and workplace skills.
• Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to create comprehensive support plans for clients.
• Facilitate workforce development initiatives that connect clients with potential employers.
• Assist in recruiting efforts by identifying job openings that align with client capabilities.
• Offer addiction counseling support as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to client well-being.

Skills

• Strong understanding of working with people who have developmental disabilities.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
