What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Coach (Immediate Opening) position at Empower Community School?
The Instructional Coach position fulfills three roles: Instructor, Coach, and Teacher-Leader. As an Instructor, the specialist identifies students in need of additional instruction and establishes a schedule to provide targeted instruction during push-in or pull-out situations. As a Coach, a specialist works with teachers to identify areas of professional need and provide resources or strategies to address these areas. Coach model lessons and assist teachers in planning lessons or units.
As a Teacher-Leader, a specialist provides professional development for teachers, peers, and administrators which address curriculum, teaching strategies, trends, data analysis, National, State, School, and building initiatives.
