What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Sales - Residential Solar (Door to Door) position at Empower Energy Solutions, LLC?
Empower Energy is on a mission to transform how homeowners go solar. We’re a high-performing, people-first solar company specializing in residential door-to-door sales. , We currently have a team of 30–40 talented sales reps across multiple markets. Now, we’re ready for the next stage of growth—and we’re looking for a VP of Sales who can help us scale.
What You'll Do
- Own all sales operations: Build and manage systems, processes, and performance across our door-to-door sales channels.
- Build scalable infrastructure: Create comp plans, recruiting pipelines, onboarding systems, sales tech stacks, and training programs.
- Recruit and retain top talent: Help us grow the team with high-quality setters/ closers and team leaders.
- Lead from the front: Inspire and manage sales managers and reps. Get in the field when needed to coach, train, and model.
- Align sales with company goals: Work closely with the CEO to hit revenue targets, improve margins, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Proven sales leadership in residential solar (required), ideally in door-to-door.
- Experience managing teams of 100 sales reps and multiple sales managers across different territories.
- A builder mentality: You thrive in startup-to-scaleup environments where you can create systems from scratch and iterate fast.
- Deep understanding of residential solar sales metrics, pipeline management, and team accountability frameworks.
- Strong recruiter, motivator, and field leader. You know how to develop people and build a winning culture.

Compensation:
- Base Salary: $100,000
- Performance Bonuses: Significant upside potential. OTA of $200,000-$350,000
