Do you enjoy working with children? Are you looking for a full-time summer position? Apply to work at Empower Learn Create with our school age summer program. We offer great experiences, a fun environment, and competitive wages. Hours available are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with a one hour break daily.
Candidate will work with children ages 5-11 years old providing a safe and engaging environment for them to learn and play in. Additionally, candidate will plan daily activities, work with an assistant and communicate with families.
Candidtates will have graduated from High School and completed some college coursework. Candidates will also complete a background check and medical upon being hired.
There will be a number of walking field trips and First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.

Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on constructivist principles to promote holistic development in school age children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute learning experiences that align with the center's educational philosophy and goals.
- Provide individualized support and guidance as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintain open communication and partnerships to support children's learning and development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, and other relevant documentation as required by regulatory standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Proven experience working with school-age children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches and their application in early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Understanding of child development principles and effective practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Nice To Haves
Preferred:
- Master's Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Previous experience with curriculum planning and lesson design.
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations and early learning standards.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for inspiring young learners.
