Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative at Empower Pharmacy is a key driver of new business growth and market expansion through strategic outbound prospecting and lead generation. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and converting high-value prospects into long-term clients by leveraging data-driven sales techniques and consultative outreach strategies. Working within a high-performance sales environment, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Empower Pharmacy’s position as a leading provider of high-quality, affordable medications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Executes high-impact outbound prospecting strategies to identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities, leveraging customer relationship management platforms, artificial intelligence-driven sales tools, and multi-channel outreach tactics to maximize conversion rates.
  • Develops and nurtures strong relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare organizations, using consultative selling techniques to understand client needs, present tailored solutions, and accelerate deal progression.
  • Manages a robust sales pipeline, tracking engagement metrics, conducting market research, analyzing prospective behavior, and refining outreach strategies in real time to ensure continuous lead flow and increased revenue potential.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Business Development Managers, Marketing, Sales Teams, Field Clinical Liaisons to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads, optimize outreach campaigns, and align prospecting efforts with company-wide sales objectives.
  • Stays ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to continuously refine prospecting approaches, enhance messaging effectiveness, communicate value propositions, and position Empower Pharmacy as the preferred partner in pharmaceutical solutions.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management platforms and sales automation tools, with a strong ability to track pipeline activity, analyze engagement trends, and optimize outreach effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with high-level decision-makers and convert prospects into long-term clients.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or outbound prospecting, preferably in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP), and Pharmaceutical Sales Training Certification (PSTC) to demonstrate expertise in sales methodologies and business development.
