Position Summary
The Capital Project Manager IV holds a pivotal role in driving Empower's most significant capital projects, ensuring that each initiative aligns with the company's strategic objectives. This role is crucial in managing the full lifecycle of large, complex projects, from initial documentation through to final execution and successful turnover. By overseeing the development of Capital Acquisition Requests, Project Scopes, Schedules, and Budgets, this position ensures that every project meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Leading major capital projects, the Capital Project Manager IV is responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including schedules and budgets, while ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively. This role requires close collaboration with contractors, internal teams, and vendors to meet project objectives and maintain open lines of communication throughout the project's duration. The ability to identify potential risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies is essential to keeping projects on track and ensuring their successful completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Documents project deliverables and leads the development for large capital projects, including but not limited to Capital Acquisition Request, Project Scope, Project Schedule, and Project Budget.
- Manages the initiation, planning, execution, and successful closure of large, complex capital projects, ensuring they are to the highest quality standards.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive project scope schedules, budgets, and documentation for capital projects ensuring all project activities are planned and tracked effectively, financial resources are allocated appropriately, and all relevant documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Oversees the procurement of multiple capital equipment items in alignment with the program requirements.
- Leads the creation of documentation essential for project completion including but not limited to project charters, project scopes, project execution plans, user requirement specifications.
- Aids in comprehensive risk assessments for capital projects, identifying potential risks and impact, and develops mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues.
- Prepares and delivers essential documentation for the successful turnover of the completed project to Manufacturing Engineering.
- Collaborates with contractors and internal clients as needed to ensure project requirements and objectives are met, establishing effective communication and working relationships.
- Identifies and addresses issues or concerns to appropriate stakeholders or management when necessary to ensure prompt resolution and maintain project progress.
- Coordinates with material and equipment vendors, as needed.
- Leads the execution of major capital projects and facility modifications.
- Stays abreast with regulatory guidance for compounding pharmacies / outsourcing facilities, promoting compliance with current regulations by continuously monitoring updates, implements and provides guidance on any necessary changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This role will spend considerable time working in construction areas, utility areas and clean room areas. Must have the ability to climb ladders, work on feet for extended periods, lift packages / equipment of up to 50 lbs.
