At Empower our Reconciliation Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our pharmacy's inventory processes. This position is vital for maintaining the high standards of quality and service that Empower is known for, by managing returns, waste disposal, and compliance with stringent state and federal laws. You will be the guardian of our stock, ensuring that the pharmacy remains well-equipped and that medications are handled with the utmost care and precision.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include completing warehouse requisition forms, facilitating reorders for essential supplies, and responding to inventory-related communications. By performing Beyond Use Date (BUD) and expiration date reconciliation, you will help maintain the integrity of our inventory, ensuring that only products with acceptable shelf life are available for our patients. Your meticulous documentation and handling of medication returns are crucial for maintaining compliance and quality standards.

• Processes pharmacy returns, inventory waste disposal and documentation while maintaining compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Completes warehouse requisition form for any items needed to keep pharmacy stocked and facilitates reorders for pharmacy supplies.
• Responds to inventory emails requesting patient’s print outs be mailed out.
• Performs BUD and expiration date reconciliation and removal from pharmacy stock to discard appropriately.
• Processes all medication returns by documenting the return and wasting the medications.
• Works closely with the Incident team and Quality department to communicate returns.
• Receives mailed in prescription hard copies and scans them into pharmacy management system.
• Navigates multiple internal computer systems and spreadsheets.
• Assists with Dispensing Tech, Lead, Training, or inventory duties when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified with Texas Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee required.
• 1-3 years of related experience required.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
