Position Summary

The Senior Capital Projects Cost Controller is essential in ensuring the financial success of our capital projects, optimizing resource use and maintaining budget integrity. This role directly supports our mission to create innovative medications that improve lives and expand access to affordable, high-quality healthcare. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements comprehensive cost control strategies to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting, optimizing financial performance across all projects while aligning with organizational goals.
  • Manages resource allocation and utilization, continuously monitoring expenditures and making adjustments to prevent cost overruns, ensuring the efficient use of materials, labor, and capital within the pharmaceutical production process.
  • Analyzes and reports on cost variances, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiencies across the compounding pharmaceutical operations.
  • Leads the preparation of financial reports and management presentations, providing actionable insights on cost trends, performance indicators, and potential risks, empowering decision-makers to make informed, data-driven choices.
  • Drives continuous improvement in cost management practices by implementing advanced cost tracking tools, fostering a culture of accountability, and staying ahead of industry best practices to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices.   • Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, cost control, and resource optimization within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors, with a demonstrated ability to drive financial performance, enhance forecasting accuracy, and manage complex budgeting processes required.
  • Requires a Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferred certifications would include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified in Healthcare Financial Management (CHFM), Six Sigma certification, and Cost Estimator Certification.
