Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate position at Empower is a cornerstone for ensuring the seamless management of our inventory and warehouse processes, aligning with our values of quality, service, people, and innovation. As a Warehouse Associate, you will work closely with the Lead, Warehouse Associate, and site leadership to maintain inventory accuracy and management.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of essential functions including, executing cycle counts, documentation, inventory management duties, and ensuring the accuracy and condition of received products and materials, which directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your contributions will extend to monitoring physical inventory levels, identifying, and resolving quantity discrepancies, and maintaining effective communication across departments to meet critical daily and weekly tasks.
Additionally, your work will have a direct impact on our ability to ensure compliance with best practices, standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI) and ultimately in serving our customers efficiently. You will be pivotal in compliantly dispensing and collaborating with multiple departments to support the seamless flow of products from our facility to the people we serve. Ensuring efficient material supply is crucial to the site executing to the production schedule, which in turn supports the organization to meet its financial requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Lead, Warehouse Associate and site leadership for inventory and warehouse processes, cycle counts and inventory accuracy to ensure adequate management inventory.
- Performs inventory management duties to include receiving, product put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
- In addition to traditional warehouse duties, this role has a critical responsibility for observing current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, specifically, aseptically dispensing materials according to prescribed specifications and guidelines in the Batch Manufacturing Record, and cleaning pharmaceutical production equipment and facilities according to prescribed SOPs.
- Receives and confirms the accuracy and condition of the ordered product/material.
- Documents all receipts, secures packing slips, Certificate of Analysis, and other related documentation to match original purchase orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received with items ordered using established system reporting tools; helps resolve shipment errors and/or pricing concerns with purchasing team.
- Reviews and prioritizes internal customer requirements, pulls, delivers, and records inventory transactions for all material transfers.
- Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, and coordinates inventory transfers with related departments.
- Monitors physical inventory levels, stock-outs, and open order quantities scheduled for delivery for work planning.
- Recognizes and resolves quantity discrepancies, with full root cause analysis/resolution.
- Assists with communication, workload, problem resolution, and interfaces with other departments to ensure timely completion of critical daily/weekly tasks.
- Utilizes basic systems/processes to support various inventory and chemical management systems.
- Follows well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & WIs.
- Maintains a safe and effective storage area by organizing floor space; good housekeeping and adheres to storage design principles.
- Keeps equipment in good working condition by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshoots breakdowns; schedules and completes preventive maintenance; calls for repairs as required.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and keeps equipment in good working condition by strictly following and enforcing the following of operating instructions.
- Performs all duties safely and efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Updates professional job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills
- Must have a working knowledge of warehouse operations and an understanding of material requirements to support Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Accounting Practices.
- Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office 365). Enterprise resource planning (Oracle) experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and industry guidelines.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals/current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years’ work experience in a warehouse environment (shipping/receiving, and inventory control experience) required.
- Valid forklift license, or the ability to obtain one.
