Job description:
The Network Smart Hands Support Technician will provide on-site technical assistance and support for network infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting, equipment handling, and performing basic network tasks under the guidance of remote engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking principles and excellent communication skills.
Skills:
- Familiarity with various network technologies, including but not limited to:
- Local Area Networks (LAN)
- Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- Voice over IP (VoIP)
- Network Monitoring Tools
- Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi Standards)
- Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
- Network Security Technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS)

- Zscaler/ZPA & Zero Trust Support
- Firewalls
- Wireless LAN Controllers
- Wireless Access Points (WAP)
- Raritan s KVM Solutions
- DNA Appliances (Cisco DNA Center, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for on-site support and assistance with network equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform equipment installations, configurations, and decommissions as directed.
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues.
- Execute standard network tasks, such as cable management, patching, and rack management.
- Document actions taken and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Collaborate with remote engineering teams to execute complex configurations and repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of network equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor while on-site.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices while working with network equipment.
