Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 40 locations (crazy right?) and we are adding a Level 2 Mechanic to our team in the Lenoir City, TN - Empower Rental Group location!
Our Mechanics prepare rental equipment for delivery, make appropriate modifications and repairs to units before delivery and clean units before delivery. Our Mechanics repair and clean equipment upon return from customer sites and complete service calls on units currently located at customer sites as assigned. Our Mechanics also complete preventative maintenance as needed as well as general yard work such as cleaning or preparing areas of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists customer with loading and unloading fleet orders.
- Cleans equipment.
- Assists customers with questions / customer service as applicable.
- Makes notes on rental tags.
- Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
- Performs some minor diagnosis of issues with fleet.
- Cleans up the yard and shop area daily.
- May perform repairs on small fleet.
- Diagnose simple issues with heavy equipment powertrain, and hydraulic and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
- Complete simple repairs.
- Complete basic rent-ready checkouts.
- Complete small fleet repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
- Inspect equipment for general safety requirements such as fire extinguishers.

Job Requirements:
- 2 -3 years of experience
- Must have a valid DOT medical certification card.
- Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills – for both internal and external customers.
- Exhibits average computer skills.
- Achieves quality standards.
- Must have own basic tools.
