Position Overview:
The Quality and Training Technician position is responsible for ensuring job site quality, proper installation of solar and electrical equipment, and thorough training of field staff. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed
- Responsible for making sure each account in CRM has been properly updated
- Responsible for meeting minimum standards for Quality Audits performed
- Training field staff on installation, battery backup, electrical, and MPU work
- Reviewing photos
- Must maintain updated training and certifications in all products related to solar system installation, electrical work, and MPU
- Will work closely with Operations Managers, Solar Crew Leads, Solar Roof Leads, Service Manager, and other field staff to ensure quality and up to date training for all field departments
- Will be responsible for grading quality of installation and electrical work
- Will perform some service work, including but not limited to battery, major electrical, sensitive customers, or more complex service cases
- Support tasks and initiatives as directed by leadership
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 3-4 years of experience of solar installation experience as a Lead
· 2 Years Experience installing battery backups
· 2 Years Electrical/MPU experience required
· 1 Year Experience training or teaching others
· Knowledge of Product Vendors (Enphase, Tesla, SolarEdge, etc)
· Excellent communication skills required
· NEC Knowledge
· Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.)
· Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)
· Must be proficient in basic computing skills, including Microsoft products, Email, photo uploads, etc.
· Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work, including but not limited to peers and customers
· Current Driver’s license, and clean driving record
Requirements:
· Clean driving and background record
· Valid CA Driver's License
· The ability to travel within California, rarely to other branches to help support
· Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climbladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift. Have to ability to listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 75 pounds.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
