Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health support. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals, particularly children, to implement therapeutic interventions designed to improve their behavioral and emotional well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and the ability to collect and analyze data effectively.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
- Collect and document data on patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations and contribute to treatment planning discussions.
- Provide support and education to families regarding behavioral health strategies and interventions.
Experience
- Previous experience in behavioral therapy or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and patient assessment techniques is essential.
- Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral health challenges is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient information is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and families.
