What are the responsibilities and job description for the Womens Health (Pelvic) PT/OT Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist position at Empower Women's Physical Therapy & Wellness?
Our clinic is looking for a Womens Health Therapist (PT/OT) to join our growing team! This position is open to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and new grads. The ideal candidate will have interest in women's health, pelvic health, and oncology (breast and GYN cancers), with a willingness to learn and be trained in our clinic ethos as well as pursue continuing education in our specialty fields. This role will involve working with women's pelvic health, prenatal and postpartum, women's orthopedics (return to run, pelvic girdle pain, back pain, etc.) and the breast cancer population including UE and breast lymphedema. Mentorship will be included for all applicants; new grads with no prior experiences are encouraged to apply (we will help you get the appropriate training, coursework, and in clinic mentorship).
Responsibilities
- Evaluation and treatment of patients, responsible for all follow ups (no use of aides, PTAs, or techs)
- Provide a range of PT/OT services, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, patient education, telehealth services, labor and delivery prep, screenings, possible pessary prescription, therapeutic ultrasound for treatment of clogged ducts, compression garment measuring and fitting, and lymphatic drainage
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physical and occupational therapy, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills including continuing education virtually, in person, and within the clinic
- Participate in community engagement and team building activities, team training, etc.

Experience
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program OR Occupational Therapy degree
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist OR Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in women's health preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED - new grads and new to pelvic health are encouraged to apply- *we will assist in getting you trained*
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Must be comfortable around babies/children as many patients are postpartum and bring children to appointments
- Experience in exercise, strength and conditioning preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
