What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homemaker position at Empowering Minds LLC.?
Empowering Minds LLC., provides waivered services for people with disabilities living in the community. We currently provide services in several counties in the metro area. We are looking for Homemakers to provide cleaning services to help people maintain their independence.
Homemaking Job Duties:
- Homemaking services for clients who live independently at home
- Planning and preparing meals
- Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the kitchen, washing dishes, among other chores.
- Washing laundry and linens
- Making and changing the bed
- Caring for pets and plants
- Many others specific to each client and their requests
Requirements:
· Interpersonal skills: sensitivity and compassion towards clients.
· Ability to work with a diverse population of people.
· Comfortable dealing with a variety of household pets (dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, etc.)
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· Valid Driver’s license and vehicle.
· HS Diploma or equivalent required.
· Fluent in English Language.
Wage: $19.00 per hour
