Empowering People, Inc (EPI) is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with a person with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. They require lots of hands on assistance and applicant must be a non-smoker and wear a mask at all times. Shifts needed:
Midnight 12a-6a Sun, Monday Tuesday, Thursday
Day Shift Monday 11a-3p, Tuesday 11a-3p, Wednesday 11a-3p.
Evening shift 5p-12a Tuesday and Wednesday. 4p-12a Thursday

Direct Support Professional Job Description
Direct support professionals (DSPs) are people who work directly with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in their homes and in their community, The DSP is responsible to provide direct services including, but not limited to: personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance, maintaining a clean, safe living environment, meal preparation and completion of various household tasks. A DSP may provide transportation and supports to a Individual at home, work, school, church, and other community places. A DSP is also an advocate, helping people in communicating needs, self-expression, and goals as well as assuring justice and equality in community life. In all things the goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment in their lives.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a HS Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record with less than 6 points
- Must be Medication Administration Certified, or be willing to be trained, in order to assist with medications and for the completion of other health related tasks
- Preference will be given to those with DSP/STNA/Caregiving experience, although no licensing is required
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, understanding and writing the English language.
