About Us:
Empowerment Living Services is dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities to thrive within their homes and communities. Over the past year, our workforce has grown to include a significant number of refugee employees from the Congo, Uganda, and other regions. To better support our team, we are seeking a Multilingual Ambassador to help bridge the communication gap between our employees and management.
Position Overview:
The Multilingual Ambassador will serve as a key liaison between our organization and our refugee employees. This individual will assist with training, translate important information, and ensure smooth communication between staff and management. Additionally, they will support House Managers by overseeing certain procedures and assisting with managerial tasks to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, French, and Swahili, have strong interpersonal skills, and be proficient with computers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in training sessions by translating and clarifying information in English, French, and Swahili.
- Facilitate communication between trainers and employees to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Support refugee employees with workplace integration, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Act as a cultural liaison to help management understand employee needs and challenges.
- Assist with workplace documentation and ensure clear communication of policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage certain operational procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Support House Managers in supervising employees and resolving workplace concerns.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to enhance training and support initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Fluent in English, French, and Swahili (both written and spoken).
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers, including email and company software.
- Experience in training, interpretation, or a r
- elated role is a plus.
- Ability to manage and oversee procedures, supporting House Managers as needed.
- Flexible and able to work a rotating schedule, including weekends.
- Culturally aware and sensitive to the needs of refugee employees.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
