Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations in our Client's healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality patient care, manage nursing staff, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing practices.
- Monitor patient care standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, including discharge planning.
Requirements
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department is required.
- 3 years of management, supervisory or leadership experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Education
- Academic degree in nursing required (Bachelors or Masters degree).
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- BSN and National Health/Nursing Administration Certification or MSN are required for PICU and NICU Departments for facilities that are CCS certified or desire CCS certification.
License, Certification, Registration
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with electronic medical record.
- Masters degree.
- National Certification in specialty.
