- Inspect and grade incoming and outgoing loads for quality, weight, packaging, hazardous materials and safety.
- Report load inspection to the Scale Operator to correctly pay customers for their materials.
- Write Inspection Reports and Metal Tickets as needed.
- Direct traffic throughout the facility to ensure loads are dumped in the proper locations.
- Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Perform general facility cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of metal grades a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to communicate well with customers and coworkers
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heat
- Ability to handle stressful situations, manages time, and multitasks
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience
