EMR is looking for a dedicated and experienced Fabrication Shop Painter to join our team in Camden, NJ! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying coatings to industrial structures, parts, and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Properly prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring proper adhesion for coatings.
Apply primers, paints, and resins to coat surfaces of equipment and parts using pneumatic sprayers, rollers, brushes, and other tools.
Match and blend paint colors to achieve desired results and consistency.
Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times, following all safety protocols.
Monitor work environment for potential hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels to avoid inhalation of particles or fumes.
Follow safety guidelines, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven ability to prepare surfaces for painting and apply various coatings using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and coatings and their appropriate applications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to match and blend paint colors for uniform results.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Previous industrial painting experience is a must.
High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
Working Conditions:
This role is performed primarily indoors, though outdoor work may be required.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud environments (ear protection required), and varying weather conditions.
Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
