Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Parts Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team, managing the production line, conducting pre-production checks, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and reporting production performance. This role is critical to maintaining a safe and effective production environment and requires a leader who can thrive under pressure while ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise engine drop and greening procedures, including fluid extraction and vehicle preparation for engine removal.
- Oversee the removal of batteries, Freon lines, and catalytic converters from vehicles.
- Manage the removal of various small parts, including headlights, taillights, doors, fenders, and hoods.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure no hazardous materials remain in vehicles.
- Perform pre-checks of the production line daily, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assign personnel to workstations and monitor their tasks to maintain productivity and efficiency.
- Adjust manpower based on attendance and production needs.
- Coordinate with the safety team to enforce regulations and PPE requirements.
- Conduct line checks at the end of each shift to ensure all parts of the line are properly shut down.
- Communicate production expectations and team performance to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a production team in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of various makes and models of cars.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with management and team members.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of automotive experience required.
- Previous experience in a production or supervisory role preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow).
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed.
- Regular attendance is essential for performing the duties of this position.
- Ability to lift and carry light weights.
