Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Process Management: Lead all phases of the recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Job Descriptions: Collaborate with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria for open positions.
- Sourcing Candidates: Implement efficient and effective sourcing strategies tailored to each role and industry standards.
- Interview Process: Assist in conducting interviews, preparing interview questions, and managing the selection process with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Offer Process: Work with HR staff and hiring managers to identify salary ranges, incentives, and start dates, and ensure smooth onboarding of selected candidates.
- Compliance: Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Job Fairs & Events: Attend college job fairs and recruitment sessions to increase company visibility and attract top talent.
- ATS Management: Proficiently use applicant tracking software (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, ensure smooth communication, and track recruitment metrics.
- Recruitment for Blue-Collar Roles: Focus on recruiting for blue-collar positions within manufacturing and the scrap metal industry.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Recruiting Experience: At least 3 years of experience managing the full recruitment cycle, with a focus on blue-collar positions.
- Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish is preferred to effectively engage with a diverse candidate pool.
- ATS Expertise: Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline the recruitment process required
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with candidates and managers.
- Time Management: Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Independent & Proactive: Ability to take initiative and work independently while staying focused on team goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of recruiting experience, with a preference for experience in manufacturing or blue-collar recruitment.
- Experience with the recruiting process in the scrap metal or similar industries is a plus.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications are a plus, as well as SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.
- This position is based in a traditional office environment at EMR USA’s headquarters in Camden, New Jersey.
- Occasional travel to our scrap metal recycling facilities will be required.
- Must be able to attend offsite recruitment events, including college job fairs, with occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work.
- Ability to lift and carry light weights as needed.
- Travel will require a personal vehicle and the ability to drive.
