Job Summary
The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified doctor of medicine. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Works in a radiation exposure area. Exposure to infectious materials, cuts, and abrasions from equipment. A flexible work schedule is required. Constant physical activity. Strenuous activity involved with moving equipment and patients. Must be able to move or position 50 lbs. independently.
Contacts with Others
Patients, visitors, physicians and all other departments.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
Education: Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited school of Sonography.
Experience: One (1) year experience as a registered staff Radiographer is required. Advanced modality registration is preferred. ARDMS registered or registry eligible with registry completion within twelve (12) months of hire date. Ultrasound experience preferred.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as related to ultrasound imaging. Must have the ability to operate all equipment necessary to fulfill job requirements.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Must maintain current certification.

Shift: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
