Job Summary:
The Software Engineer 2 is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based software applications. The role involves working with a variety of programming languages, performing root cause analysis, collaborating within Agile teams, and ensuring applications meet user requirements and standards. The position also requires presenting application changes for customer approval and working with modern technologies like Azure DevOps and C# .NET Blazor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Development:
Develop and maintain web-based applications using .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and other coding languages.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve application issues.
Utilize front-end and back-end user interface methodologies.
2. Collaboration and SDLC Tasks:
Work in an Agile SDLC methodology to perform various tasks, including requirements gathering, software development, and maintenance.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop high-quality software solutions.
3. Technical Expertise:
Port existing codebases from Java to C# .NET Blazor.
Implement responsive web design practices and ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Use tools like Azure DevOps or Jira to manage development tasks.
4. Customer Interaction:
Present software application changes to customers for approval.
Incorporate customer feedback to improve application functionality.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor s degree or higher.
Experience:
4 years of experience in web-based software application development.
4 years of experience in root cause analysis and resolution.
4 years of programming experience in .NET, HTML, Java, SQL, and other languages.
3 years of experience in Agile SDLC methodology and intra-team collaboration.
3 years of experience presenting software changes to customers.
2 years of experience using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
1 year of experience programming in C# .NET Blazor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience porting codebases from Java to C# .NET Blazor.
Knowledge and implementation of responsive web design practices.
Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Skills:
Proficiency in .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and stored procedures.
Strong understanding of Oracle and SQL Server.
Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
