The Account Representative is responsible for managing private pay accounts for EMS providers. This includes contacting patients or their families to obtain insurance information or set up payment arrangements. They handle and process correspondence from patients or returned mail, and research accounts to ensure accurate information is maintained for private pay accounts.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Place outbound calls to request insurance information, verify valid addresses, and additional further follow-up on outstanding billing.
- Effectively administer client policy and procedure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Process of Returned to sender mail
- Process of bad address accounts
- Skip tracing
- Following up on task
- Adapting to change
- Checking and understanding Eligibility Results
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
- Typing a minimum of 35 WPM.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of PCs and/or patient accounting computer system.
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively, in both a written and verbal manner.
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience utilizing and manipulating multiple software systems. Rescue Net, Docuware, Excel, Word.
- Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients.
- Call center experience preferred.
- The office environment is a controlled indoor setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
- Noise levels in the office are typically moderate and consistent with a standard office setting.
- This is an onsite position located in Rancho Cordova, Monday -Friday.
- Sitting: frequent and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
- Communication: frequent and prolonged periods of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Fine motor skills: frequent use of hands for typing and operating a computer mouse.
- Movement: occasional walking and climbing of stairs; limited bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of office-related items.
- Travel: must be able to travel occasionally to attend required company meetings.
