What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Support Specialist position at EMSL Analytical, Inc?
MPL Laboratories is seeking a Facility Support Specialist in Sparta, NJ. This role will support the business operations and manage the facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Improving operational systems and processes to drive strategic growth
Facilitating management reporting, information flow & business process reporting to Corporate
Supporting long-term planning and expansion of the laboratory with the Laboratory Director
Assessing laboratory operational workflow and staffing with Laboratory Director
Scheduling and coordinating personnel and resources with Laboratory Management
Supporting employee training and cross training matrices
Supporting Quality Assurance with trending internal quality control data
Coordinating facility and equipment repairs/improvements/maintenance/certifications
Regular meetings with Corp. Senior Management, Laboratory Director, Managers, and Group Leaders
Hands-on experience with inventory tracking software is a plus
Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Science or Business discipline
At least 5 years of laboratory management experience
Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
Must be enthusiastic, hardworking, and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office
Background Check Required
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
