What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician position at EMSL Analytical, Inc?
MPL Laboratories is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Sparta, NJ. This position will report to the Director of Quality Assurance. The role will support the lab in quality assurance in both laboratory and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proofread lab reports, QC test reports, QC logs and training records
Filing of QC test reports
Read and record temperatures
Control and release materials for use in the lab
Perform investigations
Read and record QC test results
Collect water samples from purified water systems
Perform equipment checks and calibrations
Assist with paperwork retention and disposal
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent in a science field
Must be able to hand write legible reports
Prior microbiology lab experience, QA and QC experience is a plus
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and technical
Must be able to lift/carry at least 50 pounds
Math aptitude to perform calculations as needed
Strong reading comprehension skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Background check required
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
