What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician (Materials Science) position at EMSL Analytical?
EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician (Materials Science) i n its Materials Science department in Cinnaminson, NJ. This role is hands on providing testing for various samples using microscopy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Utilize light and electron microscopes(PLM, RLM, Stereo Microscopy, SEM / TEM / EDX) for various applications
Design experiments to provide analytical data and interpretation to solve problems requested by customers
Responsible for equipment maintenance and qualification, interaction with vendor service and application support
Interact with both internal and external customers to understand the requirements and planning for work flow
Summarize the analytical data upon completion and generate final reports
Requirements :
Associate or Bachelors degree in Materials Science, Geology, Chemical / Mechanical Engineering and / or Metallurgy
Zero to two years' laboratory experience is preferred
Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task
Effective verbal / written communication skills, be well organized, and self-motivated
Work well independently and with a team
Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform the analysis
Available Shift :
Monday to Friday 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m.
