What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I position at EMSL Analytical?
EMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Carle Place, NY . This is an administrative support position for the laboratory. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples as well as data entry, filing and call transferring.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Receiving environmental samples and entering Chain of Custody into LIMS software for all laboratory divisions
Performing intake procedures for packages received via overnight carrier, USPS, courier or walk-in client
Inspecting samples to ensure they can be accepted for analysis
Reviewing customers chain of custody and assisting clients with questions regarding the form
Accurately processing client payments and orders
Ensuring proper storage protocol for samples entering the lab
Monitoring, updating, scanning, and filing records of client projects
Packaging and shipping samples to other EMSL locations
Assisting with client communications via phone and e-mail
Act as a liaison between clients and laboratory staff
Maintaining a clean workstation, along with assisting the lab with cleaning duties
Requirements :
High school degree or equivalent; associate degree, or some college coursework
One to three years of customer service experience is highly preferred
Previous experience in handling confidential client documents
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Minimum capacity of 50 WPM
Ability to communicate professionally with clientele
Open to working with co-workers in a team setting
Ability to organize workflow based on priority
Detail oriented
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Available Shift :
Tuesday to Saturday 12 : 00 p.m. to 8 : 30 p.m.
Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 12 : 00 p.m. to 8 : 30 p.m.
