Saw Operator Role
EMT International, a leading provider of digital finishing solutions, is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to play a crucial role in setting up and operating saws to cut metal and other raw materials to size and shape according to specifications that keep our production lines moving efficiently.
Saw Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial saws to cut raw materials to exact specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications and work orders.
- Adjust saw settings, blade speeds, and material feeds to ensure precision.
- Identify and correct material defects, miscuts, and deviations before passing materials to the next production phase.
- Maintain and troubleshoot saw equipment to ensure peak performance.
Saw Operator Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Basic computer, mathematical, and mechanical skills.
- Welding experience a plus.
