· Level 4: Senior Hardware Technician
General Description: You would need to perform and/or manage complex tasks. You may initiate, organize, perform, and/or supervise tasks and lead deployment team. You may be called on to collect, analyze, and report data. You may be responsible for progress reporting and performance evaluation. They may supervise small teams on defined (typically already existing) tasks, projects or areas.
Responsibilities: Managing complex tasks within their area of expertise, such as troubleshooting HW faults, assisting in Bring up of work-cells, understanding electrical and more complex mechanical principles, overseeing sophisticated lab equipment operation and maintenance, complex HW assembly, assisting with documentation.
What You’ll Do:
- Complex Task Management: Oversee and manage intricate hardware tasks, including troubleshooting, retrofitting, and operating sophisticated lab equipment.
- Team Leadership: Lead small teams on hardware development projects, ensuring quality control in assembly and documentation processes.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report data on project performance and progress to drive informed decisions.
- Documentation Supervision: Generate and oversee the creation of training documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Travel: There will be extensive travel time for this role.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year in mechanical with 1 year in a leadership capacity. Experience in robotics is a plus! ASE Mechanic's strongly encouraged to apply!
- Skills: Strong technical proficiency in hardware and electrical systems, mechanical principles, and machining. Familiarity with software and coding is advantageous.
- Knowledge: general electrical, electronics, PLCs, PCB work, connectors /cable build, data, high/low voltage electrical, AC/DC,
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with a structured approach.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to quality and precision in all aspects of work, particularly in assembly and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of working independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and experience in controlled environments is essential.
