Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Environmental Services Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving and have experience operating various types of trucks. This role is essential for transporting materials safely and efficiently to designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles to transport materials to job sites.
- Load and unload materials as required using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent spillage during transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles by reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks, front loaders, and rear loaders is preferred.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely using appropriate techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills with team members and clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed based on volume.
