Program Coordinator

The Position: PPAT Program Coordinator
In this role, you will be responsible for working with faculty, staff, and contract instructors to develop, market and manage non-credit programming in multiple program areas. You will be a significant member of a talented team that will drive the group’s success and your own. To do that you must be a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Develop and manage open enrollment and contract training programs for technology, business, quality, polymers & coatings, and other topic areas.
● Manage and maintain programs on 3rd party platforms or with 3rd party providers.
● Work with university departments and applicable agencies and associations related to program credentialing.
● Respond to questions and inquiries via phone and email as needed.
● Register students and process payments.
● Work with the Director to create and process proposals for small contract training opportunities.
● Provide day-of support for both classroom and virtual classes across program areas, as needed.
● Manage accounts receivable. Process expenses and track key program measures.
● Prepare and process instructor payments.
● Develop and implement marketing campaigns and strategies to increase enrollment.
● Submit reports and maintain records and budgets as required.
● Initiate strategies to increase program engagement and enrollment.
● Initiate continuous improvement projects to improve internal processes and organizational effectiveness.
● Assist and collaborate with colleagues as needed. Participate in team and program update meetings.
● Comply with all applicable University policies and procedures.
● Special projects and other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
● Must be very dependable
● Must have a valid driver’s license
● Employment is contingent upon a drug screening test and background investigation

● Knowledge of professional development /training programs (preferred)
Job Type:
● Part-time / 29 hours maximum per week
● Some early morning hours required
Job Location:
● On-campus in Ypsilanti, MI with occasional travel to off-site meetings or conferences
Required Education:
● Bachelor’s degree
Required experience:
● Program management or customer service: 2 years
● Higher Education: 1 year preferred
