What You'll Do
As a Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of our FP&A team, where your work will directly impact our innovative R&D projects. You will:
- Own the monthly close, quarterly forecast, and annual budget processes for the R&D functions.
- Prepare monthly accrual workbooks and related journal entries, including working with R&D team and third party vendors to obtain proper support
- Prepare monthly reporting (actual versus the budget and prior periods), providing incisive value-added financial analysis and commentary
- Assist with upkeep of business planning system (Adaptive Insights)
- Develop and improve new and existing management reports and input templates to enable sound business assessments and facilitate decision making
- Establish internal dynamic processes that can adapt to and comply with shifting business needs.
- Ensure data integrity in the company’s financials and raises potential issues to management in a timely manner
- Support all Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting requirements as needed in the R&D Finance area
- Be the single point of contact for the business partners and provide Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects as requested
What You Bring
- Educational Background:
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Professional Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in planning and analysis or related corporate finance analysis position
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with GL accounting
- Advanced Excel modeling skills (Power Query, macros and VBA preferred)
- Experience in working with Oracle NetSuite, Coupa, and Adaptive Insights a plus
- Analytical Acumen:
- Ability to project manage workload to produce timely and accurate results
- Demonstrates initiative, maintains a positive attitude and is a self-starter
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the business performance.
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex information to non-financial audiences.
- Strong internal client service mindset (both within Accounting/Finance and cross-functionally)
