Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) for part-time, temporary, and project-based assignments. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation in healthcare facilities. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented professionals with strong troubleshooting skills, capable of working independently and adapting to various environments. This is a flexible opportunity to apply your expertise while contributing to the delivery of quality patient care. Projects starting in February 2025.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, inventory and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment including imaging devices, patient monitoring systems, and laboratory instruments.
- Utilize hand tools and schematics to diagnose issues and execute repairs effectively.
- Calibrate equipment according to OEM specifications to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide field service support, responding promptly to equipment malfunctions and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide training on proper usage.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in biomedical technology.
Requirements
- Proficient in using hand tools and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in computer hardware related to medical devices.
- Familiarity with OEM guidelines for maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to calibrate various types of biomedical equipment accurately.
- Experience with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
- Previous field service experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
