Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, management, and coordination of capital projects, right of way repairs and maintenance, and operational projects within the Great Lakes Region. This role involves managing projects related to electrical and mechanical equipment repair/replacement, pipeline modifications, annual tank inspection and maintenance, earthworks, civil repair, and environmental drilling and monitoring support.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Engineering:
- Finalize project design and scope, ensuring compliance with company standards and risk mitigation.
- Develop requests for proposals and evaluate consultant qualifications.
- Ensure proper engineering documentation is developed and submitted for project execution.
- Facilitate design reviews and manage change processes.
- Review critical operational plans, including isolation, inspection, and test plans.
- Address safety and operability concerns through engineering practices.
Project Execution:
- Contribute to the preparation of regional operating and capital projects.
- Determine resource requirements and identify key stakeholders.
- Develop execution schedules, align with existing outages, and identify key milestones.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and finalize permits/regulatory applications.
- Lead resource selection and establish purchase orders for materials procurement.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and collaborate with regional personnel and contractors.
- Ensure quality documentation is produced and turned over to Asset Information Management.
- Ensure constructed and repaired assets meet project sponsor and operational requirements.
- Process invoices and complete project closure as per company standards.
Scope/Dimensions:
- Design and execute capital and operational project scopes to ensure operational reliability and safety.
- Develop technical solutions to operational and maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage operational and capital budgets.
Working Relationships:
- Interact with Area Operations Managers and Operational team members in the Great Lakes Region.
- Collaborate with Project Sponsors, Regional Engineering, Maintenance Services, Environment, Lands, Regulatory Affairs, and Area Operations.
- Manage 3rd party contractors, establish purchase orders, and direct work execution.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Post-secondary education in engineering or PMP certification preferred, with 4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and pipeline maintenance/construction experience.
- Knowledge of Enbridge Construction Standards, Specifications, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage stakeholder interests.
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on superior customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective teamwork.
- Effective organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
