Job Description
Plant Operator
Purpose:
Responsible for independent operation and maintenance of a renewable natural gas processing plant, including compression, treating facilities, CO2 extraction, gas dehydration, condensate and product storage, truck loading, electrical generation, and other facilities.
Carries out directions of Plant Manager to ensure optimum plant performance and environmental compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties necessary to ensure optimum plant operations, maximizing runtime and sales while maintaining high safety standards.
- Maintain rigorous shift work schedule, including monitoring plant operations through computer-based plant interface (HMI), light maintenance of equipment, shutdown and start-up of the plant, and documentation of operating parameters.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record.
- Capable of vigorous outdoor activities in year-round variable weather conditions.
- Mechanical training and practical experience in an industrial operations and maintenance setting.
- Able to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cryogenic plant equipment, including reciprocating compressors, pumps, exchangers, air coolers, air compressors, and related equipment.
