This is a non-union positionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Specialist with expertise in designing, building, deploying, and testing large-scale Cisco LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure for enterprise environments to lead and innovate in the development and automation of our network infrastructure.
You will possess a robust skill set that combines programming expertise, automation proficiency, and deep knowledge of advanced networking technologies.
What you will do:
Provide daily operational technical support for data network services delivery, including 24-hour on-call support.
Configure, maintain, and optimize LAN/WAN network infrastructure and integrate new technologies into existing networks including data center support.
Design, build, and implement physical and wireless networks to ensure seamless connectivity between various devices and systems.
Automate routine tasks and integrate new technologies into existing networks to improve overall infrastructure.
Observe, analyze, and troubleshoot network performance and functionality to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate written and verbal technical topics and situations effectively to both technical and non-technical.
Who you are:
You have a College/University Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field or Equivalent Experience.
You have a CCNA or higher - Route/Switch Certification.
Minimum 7 years hands on experience with Cisco Network design, administration and support.
You have proficiency in network configuration, maintenance, performance optimization, and troubleshooting with strong knowledge in advanced network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VxLAN, Multi-chassis EtherChannel, VPC, VSS, etc.
Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing platforms like Azure.
Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD.
Knowlege using vendor specific (Cisco Catalyst Center, Versa Director) or multi-vendor configuration management tools and API's (Ansible)
Proficiency in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for real-time system monitoring and data analysis.
You have an understanding of secure coding practices, automated security testing, and compliance with industry standards.
You have hands on experience with Service ticketing tools (Service Now)
Proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation and system integration.
