What You Will Do
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

What You Will Do
- Ensures emergency response capabilities are maintained and practiced.
- Ensures pipeline system is maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all government regulations are understood and followed.
- Personally plans, directs and supervises PLM work.
- Manages operating accounts for PLM.
- Assist with requisitions for supplies and equipment.
- Coordinates work with other departments internally and externally. (Technical Crafts, Control Center Operations, LP Engineering, contractors, etc.)
- Coordinates and leads emergency response activities including containment, repair and clean up.
- Ensure that employees in the PLM are properly trained in all aspects of their job and that all Regulations, Policies, and Procedures are understood and followed.
- Maintain a solid knowledge of pipeline maintenance construction activities, best-practices and issues.
- Provide leadership, planning and direction to staff members to achieve the short-term and long-term goals and objectives of the company and the department, including prioritizing work requirements, assessing staff levels, evaluating and improving productivity and performance and coaching for personal development while fostering interdepartmental communication.
- Provide expertise to staff for all safety critical or high risk hot work.
- Related university degree and seven‐plus years experience OR ten‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
- Proven project management skills and logistical coordination skills.
- Contract administration skills related to budget coordination, management, contractor oversight and inspection and landowner liaison.
- Ability to comprehend and apply technical & engineering concepts including material standards and regulatory codes and Standards.
- An excellent attitude and understanding of Company safety policies and operation and maintenance procedures.
- Mechanical/electrical proficiency and administrative ability requiring ten or more years of related pipeline experience.
- Completes office and field work as tasks dictate, frequent travel to construction sites.
- Office environment with regularly scheduled travel - 60% office/40% field
- Frequent over-time and flexibility required to manage multiple projects, work priorities, fieldwork schedules, and travel.
- Shifting priorities to meet changing directions
- Position frequently requires quick decision making under intense conditions. Position also requires a working knowledge of office diplomacy and political correctness.
- Works independently with little day to day direction.
