Financial Management & Reporting
The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance at ElDorado National. This role will provide leadership in financial strategy, budgeting, and operational efficiency while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with a deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and financial management in a complex organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Maintain compliance with SOX, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage any financial reporting issues.
- Monitor and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Lead cost accounting initiatives, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
- Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to drive cost efficiencies and improve financial performance.
- Provide strategic financial insights to optimize manufacturing processes and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or a related industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
