Encadria Staffing Solutions is currently hiring for Georgia-Pacific's facility in Hosford, FL. This position will be responsible for inspecting loads of logs and ensuring the wood quality meets our specifications. This position will require the individual to work and communicate with truck drivers, loggers, contractors, and other GP personnel to ensure the scaling functions are accomplished in a safe and compliant manner.

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM. The work environment will include inside and outside conditions and will require working in hot and humid conditions typical for Florida. Individuals in this role will be expected to drive process improvement, show a commitment to safety and compliance, and maintain the quality standards that make GP a top producer of wood and paper products.

This is a temporary role estimated to end in May 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection of incoming wood trucks to ensure meeting quality specifications
• Documentation of load inspections through audits and electronic reporting.
• Truck driver compliance with all safety rules and procedures.
• Daily demonstration of GP’s safety and compliance culture.
• Administrative responsibilities associated with inventory management.
• Partnership with logging contractors and foresters to quickly correct any quality issues.
• Assistance with GP-IT personnel to troubleshoot scaling software and hardware issues.
• Management of on-site inventory

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to work in harsh temperatures and noisy mill environment
• Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods. (lifting, walking, climbing, and stooping).
• Valid Florida Driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wood quality control in forestry operations.
• Familiarity with wood products.
• Identification of various types of wood species

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confrontational situations with respect and humility
• Attention to detail, and willing to drive continuous improvement.
