What are the responsibilities and job description for the Runner position at Enchant Christmas?
The Runner’s role is critical in ensuring the success of our events. Working with the Logistics Manager to acquire items/supplies as required for supporting the show.
COMPENSATION:
$18.70 - $22.00 per hour
COMMITMENT: Dates may change based on location
- Install: Nov 01-26, 2022 (10-12 hrs per days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week)
- Show: Nov 26-Jan 1, 2023, (8-10 hrs per days / 3pm - midnight / 5 days per week)
- Strike: Jan 02-15, 2023 (10-12 hr days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week)
May include some travel for training purposes
WHO WE ARE:
We are creators of a magical holiday event called Enchant Christmas featuring the world's largest light maze and village market. We have hosted over three million guests over the past 5 years and have experienced significant growth. In 2022, we will be producing 9 shows in 8 U.S. cities.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
The Runner holds an important role with the Enchant team. The event is a ‘Light Maze’ where all of the exhibits are wrapped in Christmas lights. It is essential that there is coordination between various teams to ensure that each team has the materials needed on time; the runner’s primary role is to facilitate the movement of assets, resources and materials between various locations as required.
Main responsibilities are outlined as follows:
- Work with the teams to coordinate and deliver to the site the materials and assets required.
- Work with the install team to coordinate and deliver items purchased by install and events teams for the purpose of event setup, run of shows, and strike.
- Work with existing team members to ensure the venue is prepped and ready for installation of Events.
- Record and report any damage to person or property during the operation
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- The Runner will have experience in the following areas:
- 2 years working as a runner/SM/coordinator or equivalent in the entertainment industry
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to read construction drawing
- Excellent verbal skills
- A sincere desire to help create magical memories.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move objects 40 lbs.
- Occasionally ascends/descends up to 6ft.
- Must be able to frequently walk and stand.
- Occasionally sitting.
- Occasionally doing repetitive motions.
- Frequently operates machinery and/or power tools.
- Frequently operates a motor vehicle.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- OSHA 10 certification

Salary : $19 - $22
