Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable associate(s) to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a love for gardening and landscaping, and who enjoy working in a dynamic retail environment. This associate(s) will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their gardening needs, maintaining the garden center's appearance, and providing appropriate plant care such as watering, deadheading, and additional necessary applications to insure that our plant material is thriving.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscaping materials.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on landscape maintenance, lawn care, and plant care.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Manage inventory levels.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garden center, including displays and product placement.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Participate in sales promotions and events to enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with cash register operations.
- Knowledge of "some" plant names and conditions that they thrive in.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.
- A genuine passion for gardening and a willingness and ability to learn about various plants and products.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
