What you’ll do…
As the Director of Training, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive training programs and maintaining technical procedures for Enchanted Rock's microgrid generators, technicians, commissioning technicians, and leadership development initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Microgrid Operations, this role is based in Houston, TX, and will operate primarily in-office with occasional field visits. You will play a pivotal role in building technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Developing and Leading Training Programs: Design and implement training programs for technical roles and leadership development, ensuring alignment with operational goals and compliance with industry standards.
- Overseeing Personnel Development: Establish competency-based assessments, track progress, and provide mentorship to enhance technical and leadership readiness across teams.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure training initiatives meet organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring Program Effectiveness: Monitor and evaluate training outcomes, implement improvements, and utilize innovative approaches like scenario-based simulations and e-learning platforms.
- Driving Continuous Improvement: Analyze training metrics and adapt programs to address emerging operational challenges, ensuring Enchanted Rock remains a leader in operational excellence.
- Optimizing SOP development: Identify fleet maintenance lessons and incorporate into the procedure development process. Clearinghouse for procedure revision control and end-user accessibility.

- Have extensive experience in designing and managing training programs for technical and leadership roles.
- Demonstrate strong operational analysis and strategic planning skills, ensuring alignment of training with organizational objectives.
- Are a proactive collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management, Training Development); advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, training development, and personnel management.
- Proven success in managing large-scale training programs, particularly in technical environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other industry compliance standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all training materials, assessments, and processes are accurate and effective.
- Project Management: Develop, coordinate, and manage training projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Possess deep knowledge of microgrid generator operations and maintenance.
- Leadership Development: Inspire and guide the next generation of leaders within the organization.
Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry 50 lbs; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
