What you’ll do…
We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful electrical engineer to assume Design Engineering responsibilities for multiple (microgrid reliability as a service) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing project and electrical engineering work - mechanical engineering experience is a plus. The position will report to the Director of Microgrid Engineering and will work a hybrid schedule based out of our headquarters in downtown Houston, TX.
You’ll make an impact by :
Perform the following under supervision of Project Lead Engineer :
Project Engineering Coordination :
- Coordinate technical aspects of the project.
- Coordinate with electric utility companies for distributed generation service request and commissioning for the assigned projects.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, stakeholders, and other disciplines in support of project completion.
- Assist the Project team in meeting project goals including, but not limited to schedule, budget, safety, and overall quality.
- Assist / guide Designers and junior Engineers in technical aspects of their work.
- Identify, analyze, and manage technical risk on projects under direction of the Project Manager.
- Provide engineering support, as needed, during the sales phase of the projects.
- Conduct condition assessments of existing electrical systems.
- Conduct site visits as necessary.
