A Purchasing Specialist is responsible for providing support and administrative assistance to the procurement team, aiming to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
MRO
- Search for vendors for MRO parts and materials requested by each department and compare prices.
- Enter MRO purchase orders into the data sheet.
- Track material shipping schedules with vendors and inform the requesting department of shipment status.
- Enter invoice data into the data sheet to share with the accounting department.
Qualification/skills:
- Degree in a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in a related field (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with vendors.
- Proficiency in basic Excel functions.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
