Job Description
The Encinitas Union School District is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Assistant II to join our Child Nutrition Services team. This position will serve as a key member in the central kitchen, assisting with food preparation and scratch cooking during the mid-day shift.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with food production, assembling next day's entrees, and cleaning
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth meal service
Requirements:
- ~ Six (6) months of quantity food preparation experience in a commercial or institutional setting
- Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade
- Valid Food Safety Manager Certification (State of California) and Food Handler Card (County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health)
