What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Behavioral Health Innovation position at Encircle?
Our Director of Behavioral Health Innovation will work collaboratively with agency and program leadership to assess current behavioral health programming for potential areas of innovation and development and to identify and explore opportunities for added programming. EnCircle is seeking to expand the behavioral health services available to people in our existing programs, as well as explore opportunities for serving additional children, adults, and/or families. This position also will serve as enCircle’s representative in behavioral health collaborations with outside entities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
- Master’s degree in behavioral or social science from an accredited college or university required.
- Licensure preferred.
- Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in behavioral health services to adults, children, or families.
- Minimum 5 years’ administration or supervisory experience with casework services.
- Demonstrated experience in program startup and development.
- Demonstrated experience in managing programs and effectively incorporating standards.
- Knowledge of current practices in behavioral health services, Medicaid and other insurances, and human rights.
- Ability to absorb, analyze/organize information and deliver effective, professional presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrates an understanding of agency Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and embrace the spirit of teamwork.
- Ability to travel to other sites/locations.
- Ability to utilize MS Office and learn a variety of software.
- Ability to complete CPR and First Aid Training.
- Ability to maintain a valid Virginia Driver’s License.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- In collaboration with agency and program leadership, assists in the development, interpretation, and implementation of program operational philosophy, goals, and objectives congruent with the mission, values, vision, guiding principles and strategic direction.
- Maintains a working knowledge of and monitors evolving practices in behavioral health services and provides insight and collaboration towards implementing appropriate programmatic changes.
- Assesses and collaborates with agency and program leadership in the development of new services or expanding present services based on community needs, available or potential resources, and the strategic direction and mission of the agency.
- Promotes positive interaction and collaboration among service divisions of the organization.
- Serves as primary contact and liaison with behavioral health collaboratives outside of the agency.
- Assists and provides continuing support to program leadership in setting program goals and objectives.
- Typically, M-F, 8am-5pm.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
